School Assignments and Poetry from Nowhere
This is so beautiful! I’ve never attempted one of these, but now I want to!
I love this!! I also had to write one of these last year and it was so hard and so meaningful. Beautiful!
Well thank you friend!!
I love this so much!! The mouthfeel of “unsweet tea and dill pickles” is a genius contrast to the other sweet images of remembering. ❤️
Well here you are in this world now. I guess they had to collide at some point! 💙💙
I like this a lot!!
The very long hyphenated bit about visible worship posture and grandma made me laugh out loud with the image and the unexpected length of it!
Aaaaaand ending on the clawed finger right before breakfast was maybe not what I had in mind for my morning…😆
A Where I'm From poem! I attempted to write one of these a long time ago, but I don't remember if I finished it. They're so fun! I love yours. (I also am genuinely curious how drunk one needs to be to run over their own finger with a lawnmower 😬😅)
If I knew, I’d tell you. All I remember is how much his index finger claw creeped me out.
Alas, we don't get to pick our core memories haha.
